A great site for catching quick music and entertainment news is Uncle Joe Benson’s Daily Update.
The UNC@ECU game tonight at 6:00 is being carried by CSTV. The network appears on Time Warner Cable channel 327. It’s only available, though, if one has the Digital Sports package. The $3 package can be added to your digital service by calling TWC now. The service takes a few hours to activate so don’t delay!
Here are the depth charts for the game:
With all this talk about the tropical storm, the fact that we will tie the record for 90 degree days in a year today is lost. The high is 92 and that will make 72 days in the year of 90+ temps; tying the record set in 1953. It looks like we’ll smash that record, too, as highs Monday and Tuesday are in the 90’s.
Yesterday the Carolina Hurricanes unveiled their new jersey. (I’m not sure when New Jersey will unveil their new jersey – they actually have a new building this year, too). The entire league will be sporting new sweaters, in fact, with a tapered look that appears and feels less bulky. The NHL store says that they will have the new sweaters online beginning 9/17.
Today will be the 71st day of the year to reach 90 degrees. We’ll have to wait until next week to break the record as this tropical depression approaches.
Here’s a great site. It’s the Daily Dose of Architecture – Daily musings from New York City. It isn’t exclusive to NYC by any means, but it is a very interesting blog to follow.
